Also, I’ve been warned to never give my phone number to the NRA because they call constantly begging for money. Obviously they sell their mailing list. Eugh. Something to look forward to I guess.

(I bought it for $250 in one of those discount drives where they’re trying to boost numbers ahead of an election or after a massacre, which is a deal well worth it for the discounts.
then they try and sell you additional tiers of Life membership like the fucking Shriners or something but that‘s worthless)

I think it just came down to what I hate about “literary” and like about “genre” fiction, there was no fucking plot, or to the extent there was it was thematic rather than load-bearing.

I remember a description of some luggage on the roof rack of a car at a gas station that was supposed to Mean Something About How We Live Today, I remember there being a lot of stuff like that and I remember thinking “this must be that ‘K-Mart Realism’ I’ve heard of”.
