I think the whole “monastic humility” thing works pretty well for Dubya, but like “the public figure we knew as a callous cultureless barbarian returns to view, questing to reconcile himself with the human cost of his rule through artistic self-cultivation" is pretty in line with the year’s whole epic mad libs vibe
